When Two Beds Are Better Than One

Necessary National Divorce, Amicable and Orderly

By now, most everyone knows what Dr Maya Angelou said even if they don’t know it was she who said it. “When people show you who they are, believe them….” Even when we get through this Trump Trash, even when he is exiled and his key minions are in prison, the awful Americans who enabled them all will still be among us.

There is no UNITED States. Our States are not united, and no one state within is united. The rabid racists, for example, except for ICE “police” have shown us how hate filled they are while claiming to love and serve the God under whom the “one nation” is supposed to exist; they’ll still be here. So also the law maker/puppets who keep funding Israeli genocidal crusades at the impoverishment of our own nation will still be taking up space.

I’m divorced. Before I retired I was a pastor among other things. I married numerous couples and counseled with countless couples pondering divorce. Unfortunately, I have a pretty good idea of when reconciliation isn’t possible. Nationally I believe we are at that point. Not all values can live together under one roof or in the same neighborhood. Incompatibles are wasting precious life joys struggling against those who want to destroy what we believe is essential to life and the pursuit of happiness, liberty included.

I slept well while Joe Biden was in the White House. Same with Barak Obama. I’ll sleep well again when Kamala Harris or Pete Buttigieg or AOC or Wes Moore occupies the Oval with no threat of a Trump Trash candidate’s return.

There’s the rub.
