Today’s Clinton middle school is built on the site where Clinton High School once stood. After the Clinton 12 courageously began the desegregation process the high school was destroyed with dynamite.

Thankfully, no one was in the school when the dynamite blew. Racism is a glutton that can never be satisfied which explains so much about why things are the way they are in the United States in 2025.
I mistakenly refer to Paul Turner, the pastor of the First Baptist Church as Dr. Turner. In fact, he did not earn his doctorate until he left the First Baptist Church in Clinton and began serving a church in Nashville. From all indications, he was able to carry out his pastoral ministry and study for the doctor degree as well. My apologies for the error.
