Let me begin by saying that I once again have to apologize for conferring Paul Turner’s doctorate upon him before he even began earning it. He would not earn it until after he left Clinton so we should not refer to him as Dr Turner during the years he was in Clinton.
I am still a newbie at selfie pictures and certainly selfie videos so when I set out this morning for my list of errands to complete, I wasn’t sure I would be taping, but when I got to the Green McAdoo Cultural Center, I had to speak immediately.
I’m a little embarrassed for not shaving; I wasn’t aware that I was going to have company when I started my day. I am, however, extremely glad that I trimmed my nose hair. For somebody who likes his personal space and appropriate distance in conversation, I surely have gotten in your face and brought you into my face in this video; completely unintentional I assure you.
I will be working to expand my collection of superlatives. It seems today that just about everything I love is a remarkable. That’s true enough, but if you’re going to listen to me and read my stuff, you deserve a better variety of just the right words.
Now to the important stuff.
It seems outlandish not to have a picture of Mr. Green McAdoo here to show you, but thus far I have not been able to find one. I did, however, find a picture of William Duffy who created this magnificent sculpture titled “Clinton 12.” The best I can tell he is in the Baltimore area and has an exhibit already underway or about to begin, and coincidentally I’m about to head to Baltimore to visit my older son. I will see anything that the person who created this “Clinton 12” sculpture has created.
