MAGAt theological ignorance, biblical ancient Israel vs the modern state of Israel (no connection whatsoever), and Israeli warmongering and genocide

Even when the Bible – Hebrew scripture and Christian scripture – is interpreted correctly, there are insurmountable problems.

I’m not sure how any of us are still sleeping while Israel is on its genocidal rampage. As if that alone isn’t enough, we tax-paying US Americans are funding it and primarily because we have let a bunch of theological ignoramuses tell us that Israel, the modern state of Israel, is the same as the original people of God, Israel, in Hebrew scripture. Absolutely untrue. But even if they were one and the same, ancient Israelites were a chosen people; not a preferred people. God doesn’t have favorites.

Number one, “chosen” did not mean special. It meant chosen for responsibility-namely to declare God‘s love for ALL humanity not just one people.

Number two, even if all unexamined thoughtless fundamentalist views were correct on this point, the idea that a people has not changed, will not change, cannot change over a long period of time is beyond botched.

Now, Netanyahu and the war monger leadership in the modern state of Israel, which again is not the original Israel mentioned in Hebrew scripture, have to be stopped by whatever means. By whatever means.

In the meantime, go get yourself a good commentary set and sign up for some online seminary classes from a reputable seminary. Many seminaries welcome non-clergy to study with them. Do it.
